Security Film Donations

Dear Friends and Family of Nazarene Christian Academy,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful family day we had at the In-N-Out luncheon and chapel.

Prior to the chapel, we mentioned and prayed for the families involved in the terrible tragedy of the Nashville school shooting. I also shared that Frank Serra, a member of Generations Church and the leader of our security team, had recently collected a few bids for a bullet deterrent film to apply to each glass entrance. His concern to fortify these areas of the facility became eerily significant after the reports on the Nashville shooting which described how the deranged shooter shot through the glass doors in order to enter the gun-free zone of the Christian school.

Each of the competitive bids are around the $30,000-$40,000 price point. We are still weighing which option would be best for our facility. The film is designed to slow down, create a warning, and prevent a threat to our students and faculty.

Following the luncheon, I received word from a donor who will match up to $15,000 given toward this need.

Some of you have asked how to give. Cash or check donations can be given to the school business office and marked as "security window film donation". Checks can be made out to Nazarene Christian Academy. Online donations can also be given here.

Thank you for helping us with this un-budgeted necessity I hope and pray we never have to utilize.

Anticipating great things!
